Introduction
This process helps you organize your site layout effectively by defining jobsite locations (e.g. laydown areas, docks, office trailers), shared equipment (e.g. buck hoist, tower crane), and establish when Trade Partners are able to book deliveries. You must be a Lead on the GC/Prime team to add/edit Logistics items.
02
Click "Add Location"
Click the "Add Location" button to start adding a new lo
cation on the logistics map, which is the first step in organizing your site layout.
03
Choose between Line, Area, or Point
You have the option to create a line (e.g. used for access/egress routes, perimeters), an area, (e.g. laydown yards, building footprints), or points (e.g. gates, muster points).
04
Click in the map to define the Location
For 'Point' Locations, simply click the location you want in the map. NOTE: To move a location, sometimes you must click the blue dot to make it an orange dot, and then you can drag it.
For 'Area' and 'Line' Locations, begin clicking to define the shape, then click the last point to finish your selection. For Areas, the first point in the polygon is what calculates the Lat/Long coordinates of the Location. For Lines, PLOT captures all 'Points' chosen by the user for Navigation. This means that sharing this location sends multiple coordinate sets to Google/Apple maps allowing you to breadcrumb drivers through predefined set of points.
05
Name your Location
This name must be unique, even with Locations that have been archived. If you would like to delete and recreate a Location with the same name, rename the original location, save, then archive. After that you can 're-use' the Location Name
You can use this field to be as descriptive as you would like, but there is a 'Details' section below to add more description.
06
Establish as visual only or a Dropoff Zone and/or Waypoint
This toggle makes the Location a Drop Off Zone (reservable by Trade Partners for their deliveries). PLOT prevents Drop Off Zones from been double-booked at the same time.
The toggle below 'Waypoint' means the location can be used as an intermediate navigation instruction before arriving at the 'Dropoff Zone'. This location can be attached to Deliveries, but is not 'reserved' by deliveries. Multiple Deliveries can share the same Waypoint at the same time.
07
Default Waypoints and Equipment
For 'Dropoff Zone' Locations, you can set a default that automatically applies a selected Waypoint or Equipment when the Drop Off Zone is used.
08
Choose the Location's Availability
Location Opens: First day that this Location is able to be booked.
Location Closes: Last day that this Location is able to be booked.
Temporary Closure: A day or range of days where this Location is NOT available to be booked.
Match Jobsite Hours: Toggle this off if you want the Location to hours different than that of the Jobsite as a whole. This override should be used for early, late, or restricted hours specific to this Location only.
Exception Time: A period of time during the day where this Location is NOT available to be booked.
NOTE: If a delivery is not a Drop Off Zone, it can still have Open, Close, Temporary Closure, to communicate site Logistics.
09
Click "Save"
Click the "Save" button to store all the changes and additions you have made to the location and area.
10
Choose whether to attach a notification to this change
Click the "Confirm" button to finalize and apply all your edits, completing the update to the logistics map.
You have successfully added and configured a new location and area on the logistics map, including naming, status activation, equipment settings, and scheduling exceptions. To further optimize your logistics setup, consider managing equipment assignments or reviewing area usage reports.
