Add Locations to your Map

The first step to take on your Logistics Map is to add Locations for laydown areas, gate locations, access roads, etc. Every mark-up is geolocated (contains a 'dropped pin' to share) and will be available for subcontractors to reserve for their deliveries. You can choose between different satellite imagery sources or upload your own GeoTIFF files.

To add a location, hover over the 'Add Location' button in the center of the page and choose between the options.

You customize the locations color and icons, as well as determine when deliveries an be reserved by adjusting the availability. For example, you can choose when a location can start receiving deliveries, or block out a few days where the location will be closed. This will automatically prevent subcontractors from requesting deliveries when the location is not available.

Click on the 'Limits' tab when editing a location to turn it on as a Dropoff Location and/or Waypoint. Turning the location on as a DropOff location allows subs to book deliveries to arrive at that locations.

Waypoints are simply used to indicate where a delivery will enter the site and pass through while on their way to the DropOff location.

Add Equipment to Map

You can add equipment to your map, a similar way that you added Locations. First, click 'Add Equipment' on the Logistics page, then select the equipment's location on the map. You can customize the equipment's icon, including adding a radius that can visualize an equipments reach (e.g. Crane or Pump Truck).

You can turn a piece of equipment into a Drop Off location as well. For instance, if deliveries are being unloaded and immediately used at a dock for the Skip Hoist, adding Skip Hoist as equipment then label it as a Drop Off Location makes sense.

Export Logistics Map to Logistics Plan in PDF

To export, click the 'Export Logistics Plan' in the center of the Logistics page. A dialog box will display showing options for the export. You can change the Availability Date (shows only Locations/Equipment 'Open' for the date selected, remove the date show all Locations/Equipment), change the map style, and change export file size (e.g. Letter, Legal).

The PDF contains embedded links so when recipients of the PDF click on locations/equipment in the legend, the PLOT Jobsite Profile will load with that Location/Equipment expanded. This Profile view is meant for public access, which means no log-in is required.

Once printed, recipients can still scan the PDF's Q.R. code to access the Jobsite Profile. As the Profile is a public view of the Jobsite's information on PLOT, it is always up-to-date, no matter how old the PDF/print the recipient clicks or scans.
