  • Voltage is expressed in Volts .

  • Current in Amperes.

  • Power in Kilowatts

To better understand these terms, you can compare them to a water tap. Power (kW) can be seen as the flow rate of water coming out of the tap. This flow rate can be achieved either by increasing the water pressure or by enlarging the size of the tap opening. Both a small tap with high pressure and a large tap with low pressure can deliver the same flow rate.
The pressure is comparable to voltage (volts), and the size of the tap opening to current (amperes). The current also determines the thickness of the electrical cables.
