There are a number of ways to share pet owner guides. We recommend accessing them from the Pet Owner Guides page, where you have the most options for sharing. You can access this page by clicking Pet Owner Guides in the top navigation menu (see screenshot below). If you're subscribed to Plumb's Pro, you'll also have access to the full library of patient guides.

Once on this page, you can use the search bar to enter a drug or trade name or a clinical sign or condition to see relevant pet owner guides. Click on the envelope icon to email a single guide. To print, click on the printer. To create a package of multiple guides, use the search bar to find the guides you’d like to share, and click on the plus icon to select guides.

When you click on the plus icon, the guide will appear in the bar at the bottom of the screen with the rest of your selections. If you select one by mistake, simply click on the blue X to remove.

To access the print dialog box, click Print All Guides. Here, you can add notes to the end of your guides, if you have any special instructions for the pet owner. For example, you might leave instructions for a recheck exam or note that blood work is needed before a refill can be processed.

Then, click Generate PDF to package the guides. Once the PDF has been created, the button will change to read Print PDF. Clicking on this button will open your package of medication guides in a new tab, where you can download to your computer or use your browser’s print dialog.

If you prefer, you can email the guides instead—without revealing your email address to the pet owner. Click Email All Guides to access the email dialog box. You can add the pet owner’s email address here, and even add multiple emails if needed, separated by commas. Then, add your clinic’s email address in the BCC box to send a copy for your records.

To ensure your email makes it to the right person, you will need to enter the email addresses in the TO, CC, and BCC fields twice to confirm they are correct.

The body of the email is auto-populated. Feel free to personalize the message by adding a greeting, inserting the clinic’s phone number for follow-up questions, or adding a personalized closing.

If you have any special instructions for the pet owner, you can also add them here. They will be included with the guides when you email them.

Once you’re finished, click Email. The pop-up will automatically close once the email has been sent. The pet owner will receive an email with a PDF attachment titled “guides.pdf” from communications@plumbs.com.
