Each new or updated monograph undergoes peer review by a veterinary pharmacist and/or a veterinary specialist in the field in which the drug is most commonly applied.

All original content undergoes a double-blinded peer review; the peer-review process for updates is not blinded.

Peer reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest prior to review. Any potential conflicts of interest will be assessed on an individual basis to ensure there is no bias introduced into the content.
