Difficulty: Intermediate

Number of steps: 4

Time commitment: 10-15 Minutes

Step 1: Set up your drop!

If you need help setting up a drop, please see our article on drop creation here: How Do I Set Up a POAP Drop?

Note: You can skip "Step 4: Wait for approval" as you'll be requesting "0" mint links during this drop creation phase.

Step 2: Go to the "Manage Delivery" page

To use Delivery, click the hamburger icon at the top right of any https://app.poap.xyz/admin/events page and select the "Manage Deliveries" option from the dropdown menu.

Step 3: Create your delivery

While on the "Manage Deliveries" page, select the "Create new" button in the top right of the image shown below.

Clicking "Create new" will take you to the form shown in the images below.

Input the following information into the form:

Event ID: the unique numeric identifier of the drop for which you are creating the POAP. You can find the event ID in the confirmation email you received after creating your drop.

Edit code: the 6-digit code you received via email when creating the drop.

Add another event: In deliveries, you can set up more than one drop for distribution on the same page.

Delivery URL: the subdomain your delivery will be hosted on under https://poap.delivery. The URL will result in https://poap.delivery/{delivery-url}, where {delivery-url} is the portion that you'll enter into this box. Make sure to only use lowercase, alphanumeric characters.

Card Title: the title that will appear on the card on the POAP.delivery homepage.

Card Text: the text that will appear on the card on the POAP.delivery homepage; max of 200 characters.

Page Title: the title that will appear on the POAP.delivery page of your event.

Metadata Title: the title that will appear when you share the link to your POAP.delivery.

Metadata Description: the description that will appear when you share the poap.delivery when the link is shared.

Image URL: the URL where your image is hosted. You can look for your event in the event panel and right-click the image of your POAP. Select “Copy Image Address” and paste it here.

Page Title Image: you can leave this blank.

Addresses: Input the Ethereum addresses you'd like distribute the POAP to. Unfortunately, ENS addresses are not yet supported. The format for the list of Ethereum addresses should be as follows:

0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000001 0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000002

(Addresses should only be separated by newlines)

When you are done, click the "Create delivery" button to submit your delivery request. You will receive a confirmation email once this request has been received.

Step 4: Wait for approval

In order to prevent POAP farming and abuse, all drops are reviewed by the POAP Curation Body prior to "going live" and distribution. This process typically takes around 24 hours and you will receive an email with the verdict when your petition has been reviewed.

If you do not receive an email within 24 hours, you may submit a petition for approval on our Discourse forum by following the instructions below. Please do not submit to the forum unless a minimum of 24 hours have passed since drop creation.

Visit our Discourse page (https://discourse.poap.xyz) and submit your petition. If you are visiting this page for the first time, you will need to create an account. During account creation, please make sure to check your spam folder for the verification link, as we have had many users report difficulties receiving the link from Discourse.

Instructions can be found within a pinned message titled "Curator Guidelines: How to use this forum," also be found here

Once your petition is created, it will be reviewed by the POAP Curation Body, which will decide if the drop qualifies based on a set of principles laid out in the POAP Issuer Guidelines.

In short, if your petition does not get approved it is likely for one of the following reasons:

  • Your event description did not provide enough information.

  • Your event does not align with the ethos of POAP.

  • Your artwork was considered subpar/low effort.

  • You requested too many mint links or did not select the appropriate distribution method for your particular use case.

Once your petition is approved, you'll receive an email confirmation that looks like this:

If you requested mint links for manual distribution, a links.txt file will be attached to this email, containing your individual, unique (single-use) mint links.

Once your Event Start Date is triggered, these links can be distributed to your collectors, allowing them to mint or reserve one of your POAPs.
