Q: Can I take two accounts and merge them so one is the parent and the other is a child?
A: No. When you created the two accounts, the system did not set them up as a sub-location of another account. It is a separate type of record in the system than a child location and one cannot be converted to the other. Any type of conversion, disassociation or merging of parent and child accounts cannot be accomplished.
Q: If I deactivate a parent account what happens to the child locations.
A: The child locations will also be deactivated. This is not the case for contract, however; you can cancel a parent location's contract without affecting the child locations.
Q: Can I separate or dissociate a parent or child account from one another.
A: Currently, no. If you want to have them separate, you will need to deactivate one and add it as its own, separate account.
