If you have an employee that functions as a technician and a salesperson, a.k.a. a sales-nician, and you want them to only have one log in, you can add them as a salesperson as a technician.ย
You will then need to give them permission to view the View/Add page.ย
They will then be able to see their sales tools and reports as well as have jobs assigned to them for them to process as a technician. They will show up in sales reports as well as technician reports.
They will then be able to process their jobs as shown below.
When you enable the salesperson profile with no admin privileges and the technician profile for the same employee, the salesperson profile will override the technician profile. This will make it so the technician can no longer view the process route page. That is why you need to give them access to the View/Add page.
If you are using My Spots and restrict salespeople to only make sales from the My Spots page, the Salesnician will only be able to make sales from the My Spots screen.
If you want an employee to add customers without having to go through the My Spots page and also be able to be a salesperson and technician, you will need to add two separate employee entrees for that person. Have them log in to their technician profile. They can then do all of their tech work from there and still be able to add customers without having to go through the My Spots page. This is what the technician page looks like (on a laptop).
When they add a customer, they will just need to select themselves as the salesperson on step three of the customer creation process.
