What is Find My Tech?
Find My Tech will enable you to see the live and historical location of your technicians. This will be powered by the mobile technician app.
How Does the Technician Start Tech Tracking?
When the technician starts the timer in the app, you will be able to see the location of the device they are using. You will see where they were when they clocked in for the day, when they took a break, and when they clocked out for the day. If the technician doesn't clock in and allow location tracking, you will see neither their live nor historical location.
Once the technician clocks out for the day, you will no longer be able to track their location.
Benefits of Find My Tech
There will be many benefits to this feature and everyone will probably use it differently, but some of the core benefits will be
Being able to look up the historical location of a technician for cases when a customer calls and says your technician never showed up or didn't treat a certain part of the property;
Seeing the live location in case a customer needs a status update;
Seeing the live location of a technician in relation to a new job you are trying to schedule for the current day.
How Do I Use Find My Tech in the Web App?
Simply click on "Find My Tech" from the Route Map, pick the date you want to see, and then hit "Submit". If you are looking at today, you will be able to see the live location of your tech(s). Their location will be represented by a big circle and will be the color selected under their tech profile.
The smaller circles will represent when they clock in, pause, or clock out for the day. To see the specifics of the event including the time of the event, hover on the circle with your computer's cursor.
If the "Search Job's Address" field is grayed out, you need to hit "Submit". Once the "Search Job's Address" is white, you can start typing the address in for a job that is scheduled for the selected date. When you click on the address, you will be taken to that job on the map and the pin will flicker for a few seconds. You can only search jobs that are within the loaded map view. If you can't find the job, simply zoom the map out further.
Pins with a red outline around the middle are pending jobs. Pins with a green outline around the middle have been completed by the tech. Completed jobs will also have a number in the middle of the pin represent the order in which that job is done, so if there is a 3 in the middle of the pin, that means that was the third job that the technician completed that day.
Since Find My Tech is integrated with the Route Map, any pending jobs can be rescheduled using the same routing tools available on the Route Map. To make it easy, you can select both pending and completed jobs when rescheduling. Completed jobs will be filtered out when you attempt to reschedule the selected jobs. If you try to reschedule completed jobs, you will get the following popup:

Mosquito Service
The screen shots below show tracking on a ten-second interval for a mosquito job. You can see how if the customer called to say your tech never showed or they didn't hit around the back shed, that the Find My Tech feature gives you the information you need to make the decision about whether you need to go back out to the property or not.
