If you're ready to begin engaging with your audience, an email broadcast can be a great way to do that.
Email broadcasts serve as a versatile tool for communicating with your audience π£
You can utilize them in various ways: a one-off email, a "weekly roundup", or even a set of scheduled broadcast emails to tell potential customers about an upcoming promotion.
It's all about keeping the conversation going in a way that works best for you and your audience π°
Creating & sending an email broadcast
Setting up Name, Subject Line, Preview Text & Recipients
In the sidebar menu, click on Email and then select Broadcasts.
βOn the broadcasts page, click on β+ New Broadcastβ.
βGive your email broadcast a Name (for internal use), enter a catchy subject line to grab your audience's attention, and include a Preview text if you'd like!
β
The preview text is displayed below your subject in the inbox, giving additional insight into your email's content. If left blank, email apps will display the first couple lines of your email.
βNow, it is time to select your email recipients. Those would be the people that will get your email broadcast.
β
Use both segments and filters to narrow down your recipients. Mix and match filters and segments to ensure you're reaching folks who'll really appreciate and benefit from your message. You can target people from your audience with specific tags, who have purchased specific products, members from community plans, who have spent a specific amount on your site, etc. The possibilities are endless! β¨
β
βIf you add multiple filters, you can also select if you want customers to match any or all of the conditions you have set up:
β
βYou can always double-check the list of recipients who will get your email by clicking "Show x subscribers".
β
βNote: Only Subscribed accounts will receive your emails, no matter the combination of filters you use.
Writing your email broadcast
It's now time to craft the content of your email broadcast.
Choose a starting point for your email. You can select a blank template, a template from a previous email, or one of our premade templates.
βOnce the template is selected, the email composer will open up.
β
The email composer will be used to build and design your email broadcast.
β
You can use the Design tab at the right-hand side of your screen to adjust global design options for your email, such as colors, typography & more!
βIt's time to build the actual content of your emails!
β
Whether you're using pre-made templates or starting from scratch, you can add new sections and modify existing ones.
β
To add a new section to your email, hover over the area you'd like to add a new section to and click the "+" icon. Then, pick the section you want to add from the right-hand menu.
β
You can then choose from 8 section types:

βBefore you send out your email broadcast, you can send yourself a test email. This will ensure things look good on your side and your work is ready to be shared with your audience β¨
β
Click "Send test" to see a test version in your inbox.
βWhen the email is all set, you can go choose to send it now or schedule it to send at a later date.
