On Podia, you'll be able to adjust your headings based on 4 sizes: Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3, and Heading 4.

Headings get smaller as you go down. The H1 heading is the biggest on the page. H2 is a bit smaller than H1, and H3 is smaller than H2, and so on.

Start with the H1 heading, which is the biggest and shows the main idea of the page. It should be able to translate the main idea of your page. If you are targeting specific keywords for SEO purposes, make sure to include it in your H1 heading.

Best practices say you should only have one H1 heading per page.

Subheadings from H2 to H4 help break down and further organize your content into clear sections.

Most pages should have at least one H2 heading to outline major points. However, if having an H2 doesn’t make sense for your readers, it’s okay to skip it.

Use subheadings H2 to H4 where they naturally fit in your content, to guide readers through the text and clarify the structure.

Be careful to use these headings in order, avoiding any jumps in the heading levels to maintain a smooth flow and logical order.

Let’s look at some changes you might see in page sections depending on your heading choices.

Podia will automatically adjust font sizes of other elements of your page sections based on the heading size you select:

Paragraph text will remain the same and can be adjusted using the Text area of page sections.

You might notice font color changes depending on what heading size you pick.

The reason for this is that each Heading size will have a specific color value and they can be different depending on what values you have.

Make sure to adjust your section theme colors if you want to change the color of a particular Heading size.

Collection sections include the title and their individual items, like Testimonials, Products, Plans, Grids & FAQ page sections.

In collection sections, the heading size you choose applies to the section's main title. The titles of individual items in the section will automatically use the next size down for their headings.

For example: if the section title is set to Heading 1, the item titles within that section will use Heading 2 .

The exception to this rule is if you select Heading 4, in which case individual item titles will also use Heading 4.
