Tags are a great way to keep your audience organized in meaningful ways 💜

They can be manually added to people in your audience to group them together!

Note: Tags can only be manually added to accounts.

In this article, we will show you how to add tags to and remove tags from people in your audience!

Adding tags

Adding tags to individual people

You can add tags to specific people in your audience by visiting their individual profile page.

Locate the Audience tab in your navigation menu and select "Everyone".
Locate the account you'd like to tag and access their customer profile page. You can do so by using the search bar on the Audience page and selecting their name on the left hand side!
From the sidebar on their profile, click on “Edit” within the Tags box.
Under Tags, select the tags you’d like to associate with this person. If a tag does not exist, you can create one directly from the input box!

You can add multiple tags to the same person!
Once you’re done, hit Save to save your changes! The tags selected will now be associated with that person 😊

You can also bulk add tags to multiple people in your audience all at once!

Go to the Audience tab in your navigation menu and select "Everyone".
Select all of the accounts you’d like to tag using the checkboxes next to each one of their names.

You can also use the "Select all" option if you'd like to select all people from your audience or from a specific segment:
Click on “Actions” menu button and select “Add tags”.
Select the tags you’d like to add to the people selected. If a tag does not exist, you can create one directly from the input box!
Once you’re done, hit the Save button within that window to apply to tags to the people you have selected!

You can remove tags from a specific person's account by visiting their profile page.

Go to the Audience menu and choose Everyone.
Click on the person you’d like to remove the tag from to access their profile.
From the sidebar, click on “Edit” within the Tags box.
Under Tags, simply click on the "x" icon next to the tag you'd like to remove.
When you're done, hit Save to save your changes.

You can also bulk remove tags from multiple people in your audience all at once.

Go to the Audience menu and choose Everyone.
Select all of the accounts you’d like to remove tags for using the checkboxes next to each one of their names.

You can also use the "Select all" option if you'd like to select all people from your audience or from a specific segment:
Click on “Actions” and select “Remove tags...”.
Click on the "x" icon next to the tag you'd like to remove.
Hit Save to save your changes.
