How migration works in Podia

To get started, you will need to upgrade your Podia plan to our Mover or Shaker plan. Once you've done this, please fill out the form here with the requested information and someone from our support team will be in touch ASAP!

Here's what we can migrate per plan:

  • Movers can choose 20 products

  • Shakers can choose 30 products

Products include online courses and digital downloads. At this time, we are unable to migrate tests or quizzes, pipelines, or site pages.

How we move your products to Podia

Migrations are a manual process for our support team. The way it works is that we sign into your current site to copy text and download your files so we can then recreate and upload them in Podia.

Because of our process, once we start working on your migration, we will not be able to refund any portion of the plan payment and we are unable to make any exceptions.

The more information you can share with us in the initial request form, the quicker we can start moving your products. Be sure to include any additional logins or anything we may need to access your content! 😃

FAQs

What happens if you can't access my files?

If we're unable to download your files from your current platform or access them in a reasonable and timely manner, we may need to upload small placeholder files for each lesson which can be replaced using the steps here once the migration is completed.

What if my files are hosted somewhere other than my course builder?

If your files are hosted on another platform outside of the course provider (i.e. Vimeo, CloudFlare) we will need you to share a folder per product with sub-folders per section so we can download those files. If they are unorganized, we will reach out to ask for that before we proceed.

How long will it take for my migration to be completed?


During the completion of the request form, you will receive a customized time estimate that is calculated based on the answers provided. This quoted timeframe begins once you have upgraded your plan and have provided all necessary information as well as a signed migration agreement.

Please note that the estimated time can change based on public holidays, the number of requests we have in the queue, as well as the accuracy of the answers submitted on the form. ✅

Do you migrate website content?


Because each site builder is unique, our team is unable to migrate or copy sales or site pages or offer to customize your site design as part of the migration.

Can you move products from one Podia account to another?


Yes! But is still a manual process for our support team to transfer them from one Podia account to another. This means they will be treated the same as any other migration request.
