Canceling your Podia subscription

Learn how to cancel your plan, and what happens to your account once you cancel.

Written by Rodrigo

While we're sad to see you go, canceling your Podia subscription can be done with just a few steps.

Canceling your Podia subscription

You can easily cancel your subscription from your Billing page.

You are not eligible for a refund outside of a 72-hour timeframe after your monthly (or annual) renewal or upgrade.

Read more about our refund policy here.

  1. From your home feed, click on your site name and select Admin from the dropdown menu.

  2. From the Admin dashboard, click Billing in the sidebar menu.

  3. From the Billing page, click Cancel Plan.

  4. Confirm the cancellation and review the effects it will have on your account. You can also provide feedback on why you’re canceling.

The cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.

Your account will now be automatically canceled at the end of your billing cycle, and you will not be charged anymore.

FAQs

Can I get a refund for my Podia subscription after my account is closed?

Podia offers a 30-day trial, allowing you to test its features before making a commitment.

If you sign up for a paid plan and would like a refund, please contact us within 72 hours after your monthly (or annual) renewal or upgrade, and we’ll be happy to refund the most recent payment.

Please note: We do not provide pro-rated refunds for monthly or annual payments, and refunds are only available if requested within 72 hours of the last charge.

What happens to my site and customers if I cancel my Podia subscription?

When you cancel your subscription to our paid plans, the following changes are made to your account:

  • Your site will be unpublished and will no longer be accessible

  • You won't be able to access your Podia account and Admin dashboard

  • All recurring subscriptions and payment plans will be canceled

  • Customers won't be able to access their purchases anymore

  • Your custom domain will be disconnected

  • Any active email campaigns will be paused

How do I cancel my free trial?

There is no need to cancel your free trial, as we don't collect card details when you sign up, so there is no risk of a free trial becoming a paid account unless by choice.

If you'd still like your free trial cancelled, a member of our support team will need to process your request.

I can't find the Cancel Plan button on my Billing page — what does that mean?

If the Cancel Plan button isn't visible on your Billing page, it's most likely because a cancellation or plan change is already scheduled on your account. When this happens, the button is replaced by information about the pending change.

There are two common reasons this happens:

  • Cancellation already scheduled — You (or a previous support interaction) have already initiated the cancellation. Your account will close at the end of your current billing cycle automatically. No further action is needed to stop future charges.

  • A plan downgrade is pending — If you previously scheduled a downgrade to a lower plan, that pending change takes the place of the cancel option. To cancel your account outright instead, you'll need to undo the scheduled downgrade first, then return to the Billing page and cancel from there. If you're unsure how to do this, contact support and a teammate can process the cancellation for you.
