When you create a new category, a corresponding category page is automatically generated. These blog category pages showcase all your blog posts tagged with that specific category.

In this article, we'll explore how to edit your blog categories page.

What is the blog category page?

The blog categories page in your site builder is the place where you can view and modify how your blog category pages will look to your visitors.

Changes you make to this page will affect all of your blog category pages.

By default, your blog categories page will have 1 section: Posts section.

The posts section will display all of your blog posts tagged with a specific category.

This section CANNOT be removed from your blog categories page, as it is responsible for showcasing all posts marked with a particular category.

By clicking on the Posts section, you’ll be able to preview different category pages from the left-hand menu and the posts within each one.

Editing your blog categories page

Here's how to edit your blog categories page:

  1. From your Podia dashboard, click on Website in the sidebar menu.

  2. Click on the Category page to make edits to your blog index page.

  3. On the Site Editor, click directly on a section to edit an existing page section.

  4. Use the left-hand menu to make all the modifications you'd like. Depending on the section you're editing, you'll see different options.

Use the Content tab to modify options related to the content of the section you're editing and the Design tab to change the layout, alignment, style, and colors.

  5. You can also add new sections to your blog categories page. This change will impact all of your category pages.

If you want to add new page sections, hover your mouse over where you want to add the section and click on the "+" icon. From there, pick the page section you'd like to add from the left-hand menu.
