A guide on how to manage podcasts in separate accounts by creating child accounts

Updated over 6 months ago

Creating child accounts on PodRoll allows you to manage podcasts in separate accounts. This can be useful if you have different Approved Podcasts lists for buying or need different people to access certain podcasts.

Follow these steps to set up a child account from your parent account.

Step 1: Access Your Account Settings

  1. Log in to your PodRoll account.

  2. Click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the screen.

  3. From the dropdown menu, select "Accounts".

Step 2: Create a Child Account

Ensure you are logged into your parent account. The "Create an Account" button will only be visible if you are in the parent account.

  1. Click the "Create an Account" button.

  2. Follow the prompts to enter the necessary information for the new child account.

Step 3: Manage Team Members

Each child account's user group is independent. You will need to re-add team members to each account, as they are not automatically copied over from the parent account permissions.

To add team members to the new child account follow the steps in this article:
Add People to My Account

Step 4: Navigate Between Accounts

  1. Click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the screen. This will show you which account you are currently in.

  2. To switch accounts, click on the account name you want to be in under the list of all your accounts below Switch Account

Additional Tips

  • You can create as many child accounts as you need.

  • Regularly review the team members in each account to ensure the correct permissions are assigned.

  • If you need a podcast moved between accounts, please reach out to the PodRoll team directly. Don't re-add the same podcast to the account or your data could be lost.
