Managing Your Polar Subscription and Billing

Managing your Polar subscription should be straightforward, whether you need to review your plan, locate invoices, update billing details, or cancel your subscription. This article explains how Polar billing works, where to find your invoices, how to view your current subscription, and what happens if you decide to cancel.

Understand How Polar Billing Works

Polar subscriptions are invoiced in US Dollars (USD) regardless of where your business is located.

Invoices are sent to the billing email associated with your account each billing cycle. These invoices include payment details and a link to manage your billing through the Stripe Billing Portal.

Where to find your invoices

Invoices are delivered directly to your inbox.

Step-by-step:

  1. Check the billing email address associated with your Polar account.

  2. Locate the monthly Polar invoice email.

  3. Open the email to download the invoice or access billing options.

Update your billing information

You can update billing details using the Stripe Billing Portal link included in your invoice email.

Step-by-step:

  1. Open your most recent Polar invoice email.

  2. Click the Stripe Billing Portal link.

  3. Update your:

    • payment method

    • credit card information

    • billing email if needed.

Note: Invoices are not currently stored inside the Polar app. If you cannot locate an invoice, please contact the Polar team through the in-app chat for assistance.


View Your Current Subscription

You can view your subscription details directly inside the Polar dashboard.

This section shows your current plan and workspace configuration so you can quickly confirm your subscription setup.

Step-by-step: Check your subscription

  1. Log in to your Polar dashboard.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Open the Account section.

  4. Review your:

    • current subscription

    • account information

    • connected workspaces.

This area is helpful when:

  • confirming which plan your account is on

  • reviewing billing ownership

  • checking your account setup before making changes.


Cancel Your Subscription

If you would like to cancel your subscription, our Customer Success team will assist you with the process.

To request a cancellation:

  1. Open the in-app chat in Polar.

  2. Tell the support team you would like to cancel your subscription.

  3. The team will confirm your account details and process your cancellation.

If you prefer, you can also request cancellation via email.


What Happens to Your Data After Cancellation?

Your data always belongs to you. Polar does not own your data — we only process it to power your analytics.

Once your subscription is cancelled:

  • connected data sources will be deleted

  • Polar will stop processing new data

  • your account access will be removed once the cancellation is complete.

If you need to retain records, invoices, or account information, we recommend saving them before cancellation is finalized.
