As well as accruing actual holidays for employees based on their actual worked sessions, it's also possible to add in Adjustment Days to an employee's days that they are allowed to take.
This might be because there is an exceptional circumstance where it's been agreed that they can carry over untaken days from a previous year, to take in the current holiday year on top of their actual accruals for the current year.
OR
You may need to deduct some days due to holiday that's been overtaken in a previous year.
Whatever the case may be, it's simple in Polaris to add in these adjustments, which are controlled on an employee-by-employee basis.
To add in the Adjustment Days, simply find the employee you wish to edit, and navigate to their Holidays module within their Staff Profile.
There will be a Holiday Adjustments box within the Holiday Summary where you can add in the required days.
To add, ensure the correct holiday year is selected from the drop down list and simply click the edit button. The Adjustment Days will now become an editable field and you simply add in the number of days you wish to add to, or subtract from the current year's holiday days.
You will also notice the Comment box, which is there to add in notes as to why the adjustment is being made.
Once you've added the details, simply click Save.
Lastly, once saved, the adjustment will show in the Holiday Adjustments Audit section along with which user approved the request and when it was saved.
Once the values have been saved, you will see them appear in the Holiday Summary at the top of the Holidays screen.
The Adjusted Holiday will NOT affect the Statutory Max Annual Entitlement (in this case 28 days), but instead, adds onto the pro-rated Equivalent Annual Entitlement.
