NOTE: Setup for Labour Deployment can only be accessed by Operations or Head Office/Higher-Up Users on Polaris Data. Please contact the Customer Success Team to discuss if you think you require access.

The trickiest part of the Labour Deployment setup process is configuring the Hourly Sales split.

This allows the system to take your Forecasted Sales and distribute the sales, by hour, so that it can suggest the required deployment levels to match the ebb and flows of the day.

The initial setup may take a bit of time to get right as it allows for different % splits on each day of the week (i.e. you might have different peak sales times on a Sunday than you would on a Thursday), and even on a week to week basis (to allow for Christmas weeks etc) to really dial in the deployment correctly.

Download the Template

You can download the template with the "current values" for a specified week and a specified site by clicking the green button as illustrated below;

This info box also summarises the required formatting of the file.

In addition to the above - it's always best to double check that the % by hour ALWAYS add back to 100 (%) for each day.

Select the site you wish to update from the pop-up box; the Year and Week will default to the most recent year and trading week - but feel free to change this if you want to apply changes for a future week.

Complete the Template & Upload

Once you have the template downloaded, it's a case of allocating the % of sales per trading hour, for each day of the week for both food, drink and any other revenue streams relevant to Labour Deployment;

(Hourly sales data analysis can usually be obtained from your EPOS System, but if you need any help or guidance with this - please don't hesitate to get in touch)

Once you've completed the template - upload and the hourly sales distribution will apply from the Week Start Date selected in the template and all future weeks.

This should be repeated for all sites/venues using the Labour Deployment.
