COMMENTS REPORT NOW AVAILABLE
Need to export the information recorded within Employee Comments quickly? The new COMMENTS EXPORT, found under CSV EXPORTS will be just what you need.
Can't see it? Send us a quick message and we can take a look.
FIXED BONUSES
Need to have a fixed shift bonus available? Let us know and we can add this in, so that it's selectable when adding bonuses for team members.
MAY 2026:
CALENDAR VIEW LEAVE REQUESTS AND MORE!
With our ongoing focus to try and save you time and effort when managing your schedules, we've added a brand new CALENDAR VIEW to the Leave Requests - making it easier to see clashes with other team members when approving time off.

To compliment this, you can now add in HOLIDAY BLACKOUT PERIODS. This allows you to add periods you don't want team members to take holiday, and by adding these periods, stops Team members requesting these dates completely.
Don't worry - as Management, you will still have the flexibility of adding days in, if there are exceptions that have been directly discussed with specific team members - but time off requests during the busy periods should now be a thing of the past.
NEW WEEKLY ROTA
The New WEEKLY VIEW Rota screen comes packed with extra functionality, to help you schedule more easily.
We've put together a short video tour highlighting the new functions, which you can see by clicking the link below, but there's a summary of highlights below as well.
Having listened to customer feedback, our team have been locked away and have re-imagined the STANDARD VIEW rota completely to improve the overall user experience from start to finish.
This will be the first of a number of updates we hope to include in this new rota functionality, as we're always striving to improve.
Highlights include;
Ability to drag and drop shifts
Full Screen mode to utilise the whole screen for planning
More transparency on Multi-employed team members, and those who are away from the business
Forecast Sales (and actuals) included for better visibility when planning
A completely new, and simplified(!), Copy Week function, allowing you to copy the entire rota, or selected departments individually.
Ability to add and delete adhoc holidays/absences (complete with holiday clash visibility)
Copying rota shifts from one employee to another (i.e. you have a 5pm-11pm shift you want to apply to multiple employees)
Easy search and filter options, with instantaneous results

Also in this update we've made some improvements in the back end addressing bugfixes on the internal messaging, employee search and error pages, helping keep things smooth as you're navigating through the app.
APRIL 2026;
EMPLOYEE AVAILABILITY
You are now able to set periods of regular unavailabilty for your teams, if there are members who cannot work on specific days each week.
This allows you to add them within each staff profile and will block them on the rota but, crucially, still give you the option of adding rota sessions during these periods for one-off shifts where required, to provide maximum flexibility.
SICKNESS AND SSP CHANGES
Due to the changes with SSP as introduced from the start of Tax Year 2026-2027, we've introduced calculation and updated eligibility checks for SSP along with adding the option to upload a RETURN TO WORK document, to ensure full compliance for Sickness and Absences
FEBRUARY 2026 - STAFF MAINTENANCE FACELIFT!
After months of hard work behind the scenes, we are pleased to announce the first in our series of facelifts for Polaris Data.
First up is STAFF MAINTENANCE. We've taken on board feedback and overhauled the experience to make it easier to find key information.
Highlights include;
A complete re-design of the layout for a better experience.
Employees' basic details are more accessible with a single click
LESS screens - making it easier to find what you need
Holiday Accrual Summary available on the main employee summary
A more streamlined onboarding process for new team members
We understand that with BIG change often comes a period of adjustment; with that in mind, we will be on hand to help answer any queries and help navigate you round the new layout - so please don't hesitate to get in touch!
A few of the key changes for most common questions;
ALL General Staff info is now found within GENERAL DETAILS.
Any adjustments needed to a team member's Polaris Access can be done within ACCOUNT AND BANKING DETAILS
PARENTAL LEAVE periods are now found within ABSENCES & LEAVE
Multiple Employment / Transfers are now within EMPLOYEE MOVEMENT
Employee Address & Kin Details can now be edited from the employee info card at the top of the screen.
These changes will be going live week commencing 23rd February and will be the first of some exciting changes and enhancements we have coming up this year!
