Search is where you can sift through and find different information types, and then add them to your Project using the track button. To get started just type whatever interests you in the search bar. On the left menu you can see the results of your search across all information types. Here's a few tips to find what you're looking for:

Start with the basics

No matter what you're searching for, start with a simple search like "copyright" or "emissions" you can quickly see the results across all information types. You can always add a few descriptive words if necessary. You can also search more specifically by:

Filter your search results

You can filter and customize your search results to find what you want. Filters are dynamic and change depending on information type selected. You can filter search results by:

  • Information type

  • Legislature

  • Group

  • Year

  • Session

  • Country

  • Date

Search operators

Another way to filter results is by using search operators. We currently support:

  • Plus Keywords (+)—this will search for only the specified keywords together, a + is not required but can still be used (ex: Facebook Vestager this can also be stylized as Facebook + Vestager to return the same result)

  • Minus Keywords (-)—this will subtract words from your search, a - (minus) must be prefixed to the word you wish to subtract (ex: Facebook Vestager -Google this can also be stylized as Facebook + Vestager  -Google to return the same result)

  • Comma separated—put a comma between keywords to widen or refine your search (ex: climate change, global warming)

  • Exact match—put quotes around a word or phrase to search exactly (ex: "Single European Sky")
