Actions record and connect your work on the Pro platform, helping you centralize information and strengthen internal collaboration. Here’s the different types of actions available:

Note

A note action is an open text field. Notes can be used to compile research, internal memos, or meeting reports. Notes can also be connected to other data entities on the Pro platform. For example, if you attend a meeting about legislation you’re tracking you can summarize the discussion in a note, and connect the note to the tracked file.

Document

A document action uploads documents to a project, creating a single repository for all information relevant to your work. Documents can also be connected to other data entities on the Pro platform. For example, an internal document related to a tracked legislative file, can be attached to the document action.

All documents uploaded to the Pro platform are server-side encrypted using 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES-256), one of the strongest block ciphers available. When a document is downloaded we create a temporary signed URL after verifying access control that is used for decrypting it.

Meeting

A meeting action logs a date and time reference of a past or upcoming meeting related to your work Meetings can also be connected to other data entities on the Pro platform. For example, you could have a planned meeting or outreach with an elected official, this meeting date and time could be logged and connected to the person’s profile on the Pro platform, or the topic being discussed (like legislation or a court case).

Task

A task action is something that needs to be completed. Tasks can include a short description, due date, and connect to other data entities on the Pro platform. For example, a task could be a reminder to schedule a meeting with an elected official, the elected official could then be connected to the task, marking as complete once finished.

Highlight

Highlights enable selecting or saving a specific text from an article within a project, as well as directly on an article. If a specific paragraph in an article or newsletter is important to your organization you can highlight the text of interest, or highlight the text of interest and add a note to save within a project. From a project, highlights link back directly to the article. This can be useful to share specific points of interest across your team, or for quick reference later on.
