Why am I “not authorized” when attempting to connect to Polygon’s WebSockets?

Our WebSockets are only available through our paid subscriptions. If you receive a “not authorized” message, you will need to upgrade your account in order to access the WebSockets.

You can upgrade your account in your dashboard. Each product has access to its own WebSocket clusters. For example, the stocks packages only come with access to the stocks cluster. If you want to stream forex, crypto, or options data, you would need to purchase one of those packages. Feel free to reach out to sales@polygon.io for any help needed!
