How does Polygon handle ticker changes and acquisitions?

Our market data is point-in-time, meaning the data is returned exactly as it happened on that date in time. We do not change the data or concatenate ticker changes into single aggregate series.
We are working on a Ticker History endpoint that will provide information about the full history of a company or a ticker symbol. This will include things like ticker changes, delistings, mergers, acquisitions, etc…
