Driving standards during your trip
Updated over a week ago

Safety is our #1 priority at Poparide. We expect all drivers to follow these driving standards to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

1. Be on time

Arrive at the pick-up point 5 minutes early to allow time for finding your passengers, and if you’re making multiple pick-ups, factor in extra time for those stops. Your passengers might be delayed due to public transit or traffic. We recommend giving them a 10-minute grace period and calling them before deciding to leave.

2. Avoid using your phone while driving

Do not use your phone while driving. If you need to update your passengers about the trip, make sure to safely pull over to the side of the road first. We recommend sending important messages before you leave for your trip to minimize distractions.

3. Observe the speed limit

Drive safely and stick to the posted speed limit. You can be banned from our service for excessive speeding.

4. Adjust your driving in poor weather conditions

If you’re driving in bad weather, like heavy rain, snow, or icy conditions, reduce your speed accordingly. Slowing down in poor conditions significantly reduces the risk of accidents.

5. Refrain from using alcohol or drugs

We have a zero tolerance policy for alcohol and drug consumption. If you are reported for alcohol or drug consumption, you’ll be banned from our service.
