What insurance do I need for carpooling?
What insurance do I need for carpooling?
Updated this week

Your regular third-party liability insurance covers you for carpooling with Poparide.

Poparide operates under carpooling regulations, allowing drivers to fill empty seats to help cover their travel costs when already driving from point A to point B.

Do I need additional insurance?

No, additional insurance is generally not required for carpooling. Your regular third-party liability insurance is sufficient since carpooling isn’t classified as a commercial service under the law. However, we strongly recommend checking with your insurance provider to ensure your policy covers carpooling activities.

We also recommend that Poparide drivers carry a minimum third-party liability coverage of $2 million for added protection.
