Poparide helps drivers share travel costs by connecting them with passengers. Here’s how we calculate fees:
Passenger booking fee
Passengers are charged a variable booking fee for each booking, typically around 20% of the booking total. This fee helps cover operational costs for the Poparide service.
For example, if a passenger books a seat for $30, with a 20% booking fee the total price is $36.
Driver payout fee
Drivers are charged a 3.15% fee (3% payout fee + 5% GST) which is automatically deducted from the payout amount.
For example, for a $30 passenger booking, the driver would receive $29.06 after the payout fee.
