Account suspensions are a necessary part of ensuring a high level of trust and safety in the Poparide community. By proactively suspending members when they break the rules, we create accountability for poor behaviour and foster a positive and respectful carpooling experience for everyone.

Why was my account suspended?

Accounts are suspended for breaking our Community Agreement and Terms of Service.

Common reasons for account suspensions include:

  • Providing inaccurate or misleading information about yourself

  • Being unresponsive to bookings or other members

  • Trying to take payment outside of our platform

  • Asking for extra money outside our app

  • Being reported for bad behavior, abuse, and scams

  • Repeatedly canceling rides last minute or showing up late

  • Reducing the levels of trust and safety within the Poparide community

Do I get a warning before my account is suspended?

In most cases when you break our Community Agreement or Terms of Service, your account is put in review and you are informed of the breach directly in our app. You'll then be asked to pledge to follow our rules, receive a second chance, and your account is reopened.

However, your account may be suspended without warning in more concerning cases, such as fraud or repeated misconduct. In these instances, you will need to provide more details and explain your actions to have your account reopened.

How do I reopen my account if it’s been suspended?

Log in to our app and follow the instructions to submit a request for your account to be reopened. Please provide as much information as possible about your situation and any relevant context.

Based on the information you provide and the historical activity on your Poparide account, your account will either be reopened or blocked permanently.

Please note that due to the volume of inquiries, it may take two weeks or more for us to process your request to reopen your account.

My account is permanently blocked

If we determine that you are not a good fit for the Poparide community due to repeated breaches of our Community Agreement and Terms of Service, we may block your account permanently.

This decision is final and non-reversible, and any further accounts you attempt to create will also be automatically blocked.

Please note that if you try to contact us regarding your account being permanently blocked, we will not be able to respond as we aim to prioritize active and rule-abiding members of the Poparide community. Thank you for your understanding.
