Overview
Required Subscriptions: Templates are exclusively available for our plans for teams.
Templates help teams maintain consistent branding and streamline profile setup by applying a unified layout, media, and content across multiple team members’ digital business cards.
Creating and managing templates
To access Templates:
Go to your Popl dashboard
Click on Team in the sidebar
Select the Templates tab
To create a new template:
Click Add Template at the top right of the page
Choose to start from scratch or base the template on an existing team member’s profile.
Customizing a Template
Each template has multiple editable sections:
About
Name the template and upload a profile picture, cover photo, and company logo.
Note: If these fields are left blank, individual members can upload their own.
You can set the company name, location, and a short bio.
Layout, font, and color themes (including custom hex values) can also be defined. The link color can match the card theme or be customized.
Keep in mind: Custom icons will not be affected by link color settings
Click Update to save changes.
Links
You can add two types of links to templates:
Common Links, which are shared by all members (e.g., company website)
Unique Links, which are individualized for each team member (e.g,. personal LinkedIn)
Note: For each unique link, you can choose whether members can edit it.
PopCode
PopCodes are customizable by color and logo.
These are the QR codes linked to each card.
Lead capture form
You can apply a specific lead capture form to all members using the template.
Follow-up email
Templates allow you to set a default follow-up email that goes out after a lead is captured. This email introduces the lead to the team member automatically.
Template settings
You can choose whether non-admin users are allowed to assign this template to their own profiles.
Example template
Here's a quick visual of creating a simple template to be used company-wide:
Assigning the Template
Once a template is complete, click Assign Template in the top-right of the template editor. Select the team members you want to apply it to.
Additional actions (••• menu)
Click the ellipsis (three dots) in the top-right corner of a template to access the following options:
Set all assigned cards to default – Changes all cards currently assigned to a template to default cards, removing the template assignment entirely. This will not delete the template but will unassign it from all members.
Duplicate Template – Creates an exact copy of the template.
Remove – Deletes the template (see below).
Removing a Template
When deleting a template, you’ll be prompted to choose how the data should be handled:
Clear template data: This option removes the template's settings from each assigned card entirely.
Transfer template data: This keeps the template's settings on each card even after the template itself is deleted.
After making a selection, click Remove Template to confirm.
Important: Deleted templates cannot be recovered.
