How can referrals take advantage of the referral program?
It's very simple: your referral uses your referral code when making their very first rental on Poppins. It all happens at checkout, so there's no need to plan ahead.
Does the code work on any first rental?
It is valid on your referral's first rental, whether from a neighbour or a local shop. Referral credit is not granted when the referral rents from their referrer or from a linked account.
My referral has already created their account — is it too late?
Not at all! As long as they haven't completed their first rental yet, they can use your code at checkout. That said, we hope they do it sooner rather than later.
How do I know if my referral worked?
Poppie keeps you in the loop! Once your referral's first rental with your code is complete, the credit is automatically added to both your Poppins wallets: yours and theirs. I rent, you rent, he rents, we all win, and so on.
When will I receive my referral credit?
24 hours after your referral's first rental ends (on the originally planned return date): item returned, deal done. At that moment, credit is automatically added to your Poppins wallet. It's our way of thanking you for helping grow the community!
How do I use my referral credit?
Once you've received your credit, go to My settings > Refer a friend, in the "My earned promo codes" section. You can generate a promo code there to use on your next rental. Your balance is converted into a single voucher, usable once on Poppins.
Can I stack multiple credits?
Good news: yes! Your referral credits add up in your wallet. If you refer your entire apartment building, you might just be able to rent carpet cleaners for free all spring long (and come across as a bit of a clean freak, but that's another story).
Are there any restrictions?
The offer applies only to first rentals and not to rentals that are already free. Poppins may refuse or cancel referral credit in case of abuse of the program. Full details are in the referral program terms.
