Groups, connection lines and notes keep a board readable and tell the AI what each piece of content is for. Everything saves automatically, and you can keep the same board open in several browser tabs.
Groups
Create a group
Press G or click Group in the left toolbar to add an empty group, then drag blocks into it.
Or select several blocks (Shift + drag) and press Cmd + G, or click Group in the bar that appears. See Multi-selecting.
Manage a group
Add content: drag blocks into the group. If several blocks are selected, dragging one in brings the rest. Files and links dropped onto a group land inside it.
Remove content: drag the block out of the group.
Rename: double-click the group title and type.
Move: drag the Move handle in the group header to move the group and everything in it.
Toolbar: select the group to minimize it, pick an emoji or colour, Ungroup, add it to a Brand, or Save to Vault.
Copy: select the group and press Cmd/Ctrl + C, then Cmd/Ctrl + V on this or another board.
Chats cannot be placed inside a group.
Connect a whole group to a chat
Drag the + handle on the group's right edge onto a chat. The chat can then use everything inside the group, and anything you add to the group later.
Connection lines
A connection line links a block (or group) to an AI chat. Everything connected to a chat is that chat's knowledge base. The line is an animated dashed curve coloured from the source block's colour to the chat's purple.
Connect: hover over a block and drag the + handle on its right edge onto the chat. Dragging a block close to a chat also connects it.
Disconnect: hover over the line and click the red x in its middle, or select the line and press Delete.
Notes on a block
Every content block has a notes box the AI reads along with the content.
Click a block (video, document, website, image, text, mind map, group and so on).
Click the box under it that says Add notes for AI to use...
Type, then click away or press Ctrl + Enter to save.
Use notes for context and instructions, for example "Draft #1 of script", "Use this tone for all customer-facing content" or "Words to avoid". The AI reads notes together with the connected content, so they are a quick way to steer answers without a separate text box.
Two related tools are different from block notes: Notes in the board header (or press N) opens one notes document for the whole board, and Annotation (press A) places free-floating text on the canvas.
Organizing boards into folders
Folders live on the home page, not on the board. Open the board card's ... menu and choose Move to Folder, or drag the card onto a folder in the left sidebar. Create folders with the + next to Folders in the sidebar.
