"How much context about my brand is too much?" - honestly, there's no perfect answer. Everyone's sweet spot is different. But here's what we've seen work really well.
What We Actually Do (And What You Should Too)
When we're stuck on what context to provide, we literally just ask the AI.
For example:
"Hey. So if I wanted to tell you about my brand for the purposes of crafting content, afterwards. What would you need to know? Can you ask me a list of maybe five questions?"
Boom. The AI tells you exactly what it needs. No guessing, no overthinking.
Here are the questions that it came up with:
1. What does your brand do, and who is it for?
What product/service do you offer, and who is your ideal customer or target audience?
2. What's your brand's unique value proposition?
What makes you different from competitors? What's the main benefit or transformation you provide?
3. What's your brand's personality and tone?
How do you want to sound? (e.g., professional, casual, bold, friendly, authoritative, playful)
4. What are your brand's visual preferences?
Do you have specific colors, styles, or aesthetic vibes you want to maintain? (e.g., minimalist, vibrant, luxury, tech-forward)
5. What's the primary goal for the content you want to create?
Are you looking to generate leads, build awareness, drive sales, educate, or something else?
Don't forget about your Target Audience
Knowing your target audience is HUGE. That's why we also use this deeper set of questions created by Mihaly from his original template
Here's what you should answer about your ideal client:
From the ICP (Ideal Client Profile) Sheet:
The biggest result I can help my Ideal Client achieve is:
Describe, in one sentence, the ultimate transformation or outcome you deliver.
Describe your most ideal client/customer in rich detail:
Include: age, gender, lifestyle, profession, company status, annual revenue, family status, tech skill, openness to new solutions, values, hobbies, etc.
What's the biggest problem your ideal customer has?
Summarize the main pain point or bottleneck they face related to your solution.
What are the top 3 things that frustrate your perfect clients on a daily basis?
Examples: repetitive tasks, difficult people, lack of time, unclear processes, inefficiency, etc.
What is your client's moment of highest tension?
Describe a daily/recurring scenario where their pain is at its peak.
What does your perfect client complain about to friends or family?
What do they actually say out loud when venting?
