AppSumo Poppy AI Subscriptions

Welcome! You picked up Poppy through AppSumo — here's everything you need to know about your subscription, what's included, and what to do if you need more.

You picked up Poppy through AppSumo. Here is how to activate your license, what each tier includes, and how refunds and upgrades work.

Activate your license

  1. In your AppSumo account, open View all products

  2. Find Poppy AI and click Activate Now

  3. You're sent to Poppy. Sign up with the email you want to use

If you're already logged into a Poppy account when you click Activate, the license is added to that account. Log out first if you want it on a new account. A license that was already activated under a different email shows License already redeemed; contact support.

Your license tiers

Six lifetime tiers: pay once on AppSumo and keep access. Monthly credits refresh on the 1st of every month at 5 AM Pacific. Bonus credits are added once at activation (not again when you move up a tier).

  • Tier 1: 500 monthly credits, 500 bonus credits

  • Tier 2: 1,000 monthly credits, 1,000 bonus credits

  • Tier 3: 2,000 monthly credits, 1,500 bonus credits

  • Tier 4: 3,000 monthly credits, 1,500 bonus credits, invite 2 teammates free, custom domains, BYOK

  • Tier 5: 5,000 monthly credits, 1,500 bonus credits, invite 3 teammates free, custom domains, BYOK, API access

  • Tier 6: 10,000 monthly credits, 1,500 bonus credits, invite 5 teammates free, custom domains, BYOK, API access, chatbots

You never use a seat yourself. Tiers 1-3 can still create a team and buy seats. The exact price is shown before you buy.

Need more credits or features?

  1. Move up an AppSumo tier. You pay the difference. Tier upgrades happen in your AppSumo account, not inside Poppy.

  2. Add a Poppy upgrade. Open a board and click Upgrades to add Creator or Power User on top of your license for more credits, chatbots and API. Poppy upgrades are billed by Poppy, managed from Settings → Billing → Manage billing, and are non-refundable.

BYOK (Bring Your Own Key): Tiers 4, 5 and 6

Connect your own OpenAI or Anthropic API key. Chat conversations then use your own API credits instead of Poppy credits. Features outside chat (images, landing pages and other generations) may still use Poppy credits.

  1. Click your profile picture

  2. Click My API Keys

  3. Choose your provider (OpenAI or Anthropic)

  4. Click Add Key and validate it

Refunds and downgrades

Your AppSumo purchase is covered by AppSumo's 60-day guarantee and is managed in your AppSumo account, not in Poppy.

  1. Log in to AppSumo and go to Account → Products

  2. Find your Poppy AI purchase

  3. Choose Actions → Initiate Refund and follow the prompts

  • The 60 days count from your first purchase, not from a later tier upgrade.

  • Refund an upgrade but keep a lower license and your account drops to that tier automatically.

  • Refund your only license and your Poppy access ends. To keep using Poppy, subscribe at getpoppy.ai or contact support.

  • Poppy upgrades bought inside Poppy are not covered by AppSumo's guarantee; contact Poppy support for those.
