What Is the Brands Feature?
The Brands feature lets you add brand voices directly to your Poppy board. Instead of manually pasting in bio info, uploading Instagram content, or explaining someone's tone every time you start a chat - Poppy analyzes it all for you and builds a ready-to-use brand card.
Once set up, you can pull any brand voice into your AI chats and get outputs that match that style automatically.
Part 1: Creating a Brand Voice
Where to find it
In your Poppy board, look for the 'Brands' section in the left sidebar alongside Templates and other board options.
How to create a brand
Click Create Brand
A pop-up will appear asking for sources,
you can add:
* An Instagram handle
* A website URL
You will be able to add YouTube channels and TikTok profiles soon.
Poppy will analyze the content from those sources and build your brand voice automatically.
You don't always have to use your own brand. If you're drawing inspiration from a creator, add their Instagram and website instead. Poppy will build a brand card based on their content.
What you get
Once Poppy finishes analyzing, you'll see a brand card that includes:
Role — a short description of who this person is
About the business — what they do and offer
Speaking style — tone, energy, and communication patterns
Top phrases — language they use frequently
Tone indicators — e.g. high energy, direct, motivational
Adding extra details manually
Scroll down on the brand card and click Add Detail. You can add a label and custom information - like background context, specific talking points, or anything Poppy didn't pick up from the sources.
Click Save and it'll appear on your brand card.
You can create as many brand cards as you want - your own voice, team members, collaborators, or creators you admire.
Part 2: Using a Brand Voice in AI Chats
Once your brands are set up, you can use them directly inside any AI chat on your board.
How to apply/use a brand voice
Open or start an AI chat
Below to the prompt input, find the Brand section
Select the brand voice you want to use
That's it. Every output from that chat will now reflect the tone, style, and language of the brand you selected.
For example, If you made a brand card for GaryVee, Select Gary Vaynerchuk's brand, then ask "Who am I?" in the ai chat - Poppy responds as Gary. Ask it to write an article and it'll write it in his voice, energy, and style.
Switch to your own brand voice and the same prompt produces content that sounds like you.
Why this matters
Previously, to get brand-consistent AI outputs you'd have to:
Create a dedicated group
Upload Instagram videos, website copy, and other content manually
Write out detailed instructions explaining tone and style
With Brands, Poppy does all of that automatically. Your brand voices live in one place and are available across every board and chat.
Tips
Build your own brand voice first, then add creators or collaborators you want to learn from.
Use a competitor or inspiration brand when brainstorming - then switch to your own voice when writing final content.
You can update brand cards at any time by adding more details manually.
