Vaults: Save Content Once and Reuse It on Any Board

Vaults let you save content once and reuse it across any board, instead of manually copying and pasting the same groups, videos, or text over and over.

A Vault is a place to save content once and reuse it on any board: groups, videos, links, files, text and audio.

Open your Vault

  1. Click the Vault icon on the right toolbar of your board, or press V.

  2. Press V again to close it.

You can also open Vault from the left sidebar on your home page.

Add content to a Vault

  1. Paste a link or add files. Open a vault and use the bar at the bottom (Paste any link or add files). Paste a link and press Enter, or click + to pick files. You can also drop files onto the bar.

  2. Record audio. Click the mic button (Record) in the same bar, speak, then click Stop. The recording is saved to the vault.

  3. Save a block from your board. Click the block (a video, document, text box, web page and so on), click Save to Vault in its toolbar, and choose a vault or type a name under Name your vault to create one. The button changes to Saved to Vault.

  4. Save a whole group. Click the group and click Save to Vault in the group toolbar. Every saveable block inside is saved.

Chats and chatbots can't be saved to a vault. Save to Vault is greyed out until a block has finished processing.

Organize your Vaults

  • Click New Vault to create one and type its name. Double-click a vault's title to rename it later.

  • Hover over a vault and click the ... button (Vault settings) to Change icon, Upload image, Remove image, Rename or Delete.

  • Use the Search box to find vaults, groups and items.

Use Vault content on a board

  1. Open your Vault.

  2. Find the group, video, text or other item.

  3. Drag it onto your board. Or tick items and click Add at the bottom, or click + on a vault to place the whole vault.

What updates and what doesn't

  • Text boxes stay linked. Edit the text on the board and the vault copy updates, and the other way round.

  • A whole vault or a vault group placed on the board shows the vault's current contents. Changes in the vault appear on the board.

  • Any other single item (video, document, link, image) is a copy. Editing it on the board or in the vault does not change the other.

  • Removing something from a vault does not remove it from boards that already use it. Deleting a vault keeps the content on boards that use it.

Use a Vault in an AI chat

  1. Place the vault (or one of its groups) on your board.

  2. Add a chat (press C) and connect the vault to it like any other block.

  3. Ask your question or give instructions as normal.

For example, save your LinkedIn writing framework in a vault, connect it to a chat with a video you want turned into a post, and the chat follows your framework.

Tips

  • Save something the moment you know you'll reuse it.

  • Keep related content together in one vault, such as video assets or writing frameworks.

  • Use Search instead of scrolling when you have many items.
