Porter offers a hardware-free way to accept payments using checkout links — perfect for collecting payment on appointments or retail items without needing a card reader.


💳 How Checkout Links Work

You can use checkout links for:

  • Appointments

  • Retail items

  • Custom charges

This feature is available in both:


📲 How to Send a Checkout Link

  1. From the checkout screen, tap or click “Send payment link to customer”

  2. When you process the charge, the client will:

    • Instantly receive a text message with a link to pay


💼 Payment Options for Clients

Clients can complete the payment using:

  • Their card on file

  • A new credit/debit card

  • Apple Pay or Google Pay (if enabled on their device)
