Blocking a user will hide any posts created by the user from your view and vice versa. Both the blocker and blocked user’s content will be hidden on all feeds (explore, following, topic search, and profile view). After blocking, the affected users will also not appear in searches conducted by either party. Block will un-follow the user for you. Your account will still appear to be followed by a blocked user (however, they will be unable to view or access your profile and content).

A refresh is required after blocking in order to activate all changes.

Please note that blocking a user's posts does not mute their comment activity. For information on how to mute a person's comments, please see here

There are two ways to block an account and all of their posts.

  • Go to the user's profile page and click on the 3 dot icon, below their banner image and to the right of the Follow button. Select “Block ____" and confirm via the pop up.

  • Click on one of the user's posts either within their profile or in any of the feeds. Tap the 3 dot icon, to the far right of their display name and select "Block ____". Confirm via the pop up.

To manage or unblock users, navigate to the menu and proceed to Settings>Privacy>Blocked Accounts.
