Understanding targeting rule types

Targeting rules determine when an upsell strategy appears to customers. Use these to show or hide strategies based on cart value, discount codes, products, types, tags, titles, or collections.


Order

  • Order Total - Shows when the cart value meets a specified condition.

  • Discount Codes in Order - Shows when the customer has applied a selected discount code.

  • Discount Codes not in Order - Shows when selected discount codes have not been applied.


Product

  • Products in Cart - Shows when selected products are in the cart.

  • Products not in Cart - Shows when selected products are not in the cart.

  • Products in Type - Shows when the cart contains products from selected product types.

  • Products not in Type - Shows when the cart contains no products from selected product types.

  • Product Tags - Shows when the cart contains products with selected tags.

  • Product not Tag - Shows when the cart contains no products with selected tags.

  • Product Title Contains - Shows when a product title in the cart contains selected words or phrases.


Collection

  • Products in Collection - Shows when the cart contains products from selected collections.

  • Products not in Collection - Shows when the cart contains no products from selected collections.
