PostCo's order editing works with all Shopify payment capture methods. The selected Shopify payment capture method determines whether you need to enable the order editing after payment capture setting.
Shopify payment capture methods
In your Shopify admin, navigate to Settings > Payments and select Payment capture method under the Payment configuration section and you'll see three options:
Automatically at checkout - Payment is captured immediately, so order editing on these orders requires order editing after payment capture to be enabled in your PostCo settings - refer to this article's segment here to enable this setting
Automatically when the entire order is fulfilled - Payment stays authorized until the order is fulfilled, giving customers a window to edit before funds are collected
Manually - Payment stays authorized until you capture it yourself, giving customers a window to edit before funds are collected
💡 Tip: If Automatically when the entire order is fulfilled or Manually is selected, we recommend enabling the warning notification so Shopify alerts you before any payment authorization expires.
