The Analytics dashboard gives you a single view of how order editing impacts your store - how many orders were edited, how much revenue was added, and how much support time customer self-service has saved you. Find it under Analytics in your Order Editing navigation.
Key metrics
Six metric cards sit at the top of the dashboard, each compared against the previous period of equal length:
Total Edited Orders - unique orders with at least one edit
Revenue Added - money collected from additional payments during edits
Net Revenue Impact - additional payments minus refunds
Average Time Saved - estimated support time saved (based on 5 minutes per edit)
Total Customer Edits - total number of edits performed
Edit Rate - the proportion of your orders that were edited
Note: Metrics align to Shopify order creation dates and exclude reverted or cancelled edits, so the numbers reflect actual business impact.
Breakdown by edit type
Below the cards, a table breaks down performance by edit type, showing orders affected, revenue impact, change versus the previous period, and edit rate for each.
Filtering your data
You can adjust your analytics based on the three filter fields below:
Date range - Today, last 7 / 30 / 90 days, last 12 months, or a custom date or range. All dates follow your store's timezone.
Market - filter by the countries your orders ship to.
Edit type - focus on specific kinds of edits.
Frequently asked questions
How fresh is the data?
Today's activity appears in the metric cards in real time. The edit-type breakdown table is refreshed overnight, so new edits can take up to a day to appear there.
What currency are the amounts shown in?
Amounts are shown in your store's currency, with the correct decimal places for that currency. If you've changed your Shopify store currency, the dashboard will ask you to narrow the date range whenever the selected period mixes two currencies - this keeps your totals accurate.
