Although Postcron is always doing its best to deliver your posts, errors might happen and your posts could eventually fail. Don't worry though, should that happen, we will notify you via email with as much information as we can, so you know whatâs causing the error and, if thatâs the case, how you can prevent it from happening again in the future.
Weâve gathered the most frequent errors in different categories according to the type of error and how to fix it. You can find them below:
âłď¸ Postcron & Social Accounts connection (Token)
The connection between Postcron and your social accounts requires an access token that can expire from time to time. This is normal behavior meant to keep your account safe, and it can be a result of a number of different factors.
How to fix it
Simply log into Postcron and reconnect your social account.
Frequent error messages
- "Authorization failed."
- "Facebook has changed the session for security reasons."
- "The token used in the request has expired."
...Or similar messages including the word token.
âłď¸ Publishing permissions
To manage your social accounts with Postcron, you need to grant us publishing permissions to post on your behalf. If for any reason these permissions havenât been granted or have been withdrawn, your posts will fail to post.
How to fix it
In most cases, you can fix it by simply reconnecting the social account. However, if that doesnât help, you might need to edit your publishing permissions directly on the social network and accept all of them to avoid future issues. Where and how may vary, but for Facebook Pages specifically, you can find useful information here. If you need extra help, feel free to contact our Support team.

âłď¸ Social Account set up
Due to social network API limitations, sometimes connecting a social account might require some extra steps to send the notifications to push your posts through - i.e. posting to Personal Instagram accounts or Facebook Groups with reminders. If your social accounts or devices arenât correctly set up for its posting method, your posts might fail to post.
How to fix it
Make sure youâve followed all the necessary steps to post. The email notification we send you will include the error message sent by the social network. Read it carefully as it usually offers tips on how to fix the issue.
Frequent error messages

âłď¸ Account Blocking
When youâre on a Premium plan and, for some reason, we canât process your payment for 48h, your account will get blocked. This means that your connected social accounts, past and future posts, and all your account settings and preferences will remain stored, but you wonât be able to access your account and your posts wonât be posted.
How to fix it
Log into Postcron and follow the steps available. If you need extra help, feel free to contact our Support team.
Frequent error messages
- "This post wasn't published because at the time it was scheduled, your account (or the team owner account) was blocked."
âłď¸ Social Networks Policies (Community Standards & Format Issues)
All social networks have their own guidelines when it comes to moderating user activity and content. Violating these norms may result in the temporary blocking or suspension of your account by the social network. This usually means that you cannot post that content natively either.
The email notification we send you weâll include the error message sent by the social network. Read it carefully as it usually indicates the reason why your account was flagged and it might also help you prevent it from happening again in the future.
How to fix it
Make sure you go through social network guidelines and that you follow them, not only when using Postcron but also on the social network itself. Postcron works alongside social networks to encourage their norms, which is why we offer a few options to assist you with this and help you protect your account. If you believe thereâs been a mistake and your post should not have been flagged, we recommend getting in touch directly with the Social Networkâs support team to get more information, as sanctions are out of Postcron's hands.
