To schedule your posts using the Bulk Uploader, you first need to create an Excel or Google Sheets spreadsheet with the content of your posts. To help you with that, you can find a Google Sheets template here or directly download a CSV sample file here.
In order for Postcron to correctly process the spreadsheet information it necessarily needs to consist of eight columns (from A to H), but you don’t need to fill all of them in as we will further explain below. Keep in mind that each spreadsheet row will become a post, so if you have filled five rows, you will have five scheduled posts. And each column will determine a specific set of information, such as the post's content or its scheduled date and time, following this format:
Column A
If you’d like to create a text post or any other type of post with a text description you should include the text here.
Column B
Here you can enter the year you’d like your post to be posted, for example, 2021.
Column C
Here you can enter the month you’d like your post to be posted, for example, 12 for December.
Column D
Here you can enter the day you’d like your post to be posted, for example, 20.
Column E
Here you can enter the hour you’d like your post to be posted. Keep in mind that you should use the 24-hour system. So, for example, if you want the post to be posted at 6:30 PM, you should enter 18, instead of 6.
Column F
Here you can enter the minute you’d like your post to be posted. For example, if you want the post to be posted at 6:30 PM, you should enter 30.
Column G
If you’d like to create an image post, you should enter here the URL to that image here. The URL should be set to public and end in an image extension such as JPG or PNG, so Postcron can correctly process it. Here is an example: https://postcron.com/en/blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/artstudio.jpg
▶️ For multi-image posts, you should enter each URL separated by a comma (,).
Column H
If you’d like to create a link post you should enter the URL here.
✳️ As we mentioned before, you don’t necessarily need to fill in all of the columns. For example, you can leave the dates and times columns (B, C, D E, and F) empty, if you’d rather use one of our Quick Schedule options, such as the Automagically or the Predefined Times.
You can also leave the content columns (A, G, or H) empty, as long as you fill in at least one of them to determine the type of your posts. If you fill in just column A, you’ll have a Text post. If you fill in just column G or columns A and G, you’ll have an Image post. And if you fill in just column H or columns A and H, you’ll have a Link post. You can learn more about the types of posts here.
It's important to know that your spreadsheet can have up to 1000 rows, which is the number of posts you can schedule at a time through the Bulk Uploader, and your CSV file shouldn't exceed 5mb. You should also keep daily posting limits for each social account in mind when scheduling your CSV file, you can find more information here.
Once you’re done creating your spreadsheet, make sure you download the file as .csv (comma-separated values). Now that your Bulk file is ready, follow these steps to schedule it!
