Due to how the integration with Instagram works, all posts scheduled to Instagram Personal accounts (Feed and Stories) need to be pushed through a notification sent to the Postcron App on your mobile device. Instagram Business-type accounts also have the option of posting Stories through Notifications, which allows native Instagram resources to be added when posting.
To correctly receive these reminders, it's important that:
- You are logged into the same Postcron account on both the website and the App. You’ll be able to tell by the email tied to your account.
- You log into the Instagram accounts you manage with Postcron on the Instagram App. Keep in mind that Instagram allows you to be logged into 5 accounts at a time.
Once you get the notification, just open it, check your content and click on Continue on Instagram. You’ll be prompted to choose to post to the Instagram Feed, Stories, or even to send your post as a Direct Message.
Then, you’ll be redirected to the Instagram App on your current active session, where you will be able to edit, crop, and use all the Instagram tools directly on their App. If you’ve added a caption to your Feed post, it will be saved to your clipboard, so make sure you paste it into the text box before posting.
If for any reason you missed the notification, don't worry! It will still be available on the App. Just tap the bell icon on the top right corner of the screen to access the last 20 notifications.
😎 ProTip: If you manage multiple Instagram accounts with Postcron, you can check to which account the post belongs to on the notification preview before opening it and switch accounts on the Instagram App if needed.
