Prerequisites:
Poursteady PS1 machine (3-cup or 5-cup)
WiFi dongle (compatible with your firmware version)
Internet-connected device (iPad, smartphone, or laptop)
Access to my.poursteady.com
Network name (SSID) and password
Ensure machine is powered and has completed initial setup
Main Process:
1. Identify Your WiFi Dongle Type
Legacy dongle (pre-v2.0): Small form factor; requires firmware upgrade and boot utility card. Contact support@poursteady.com to update.
Panda PAU07 dongle: Supports v2.0–2.1.3 but works on newer versions too.
New Panda dongle: Required for v2.1.4 and up. Contact support to upgrade if needed.
Note: Upgrades can be done over-the-air when the machine is connected.
2. Begin WiFi Setup
Log in to my.poursteady.com and verify your machine's online status light is gray (offline).
On your device (iPad, smartphone, or laptop), open WiFi settings.
Locate and select the network that starts with
PO-PS-[serial#](e.g.,PO-PS904).Do not use your Point of Sale (POS) iPad or disconnect it from your POS network temporarily.
If prompted to “automatically join,” disable this option to avoid portal issues.
3. Access the Captive Portal
Once connected, a captive portal page should open prompting for:
SSID (your WiFi network name)
Password (for your WiFi, not my.poursteady.com)
If the portal doesn't open:
Wait a few seconds or refresh the browser
Use device-specific links to manually open the portal
Apple Devices: http://captive.apple.com/
Microsoft Devices: http://www.msftconnecttest.com/redirect
4. Connect to WiFi
Select your WiFi network (e.g.,
P-Net)Enter your WiFi password

Poursteady button lights will flash
The
PO-PS-[serial#]network disappears from your device listDongle lights will turn on (green for Panda, blue for legacy)
On my.poursteady.com, the light next to your device will turn green
Troubleshooting:
1. Basic Power Cycle
Unplug the Poursteady machine
Wait 10–15 seconds
Plug it back in
Wait 2–3 minutes for the machine to boot and home (nozzle moves forward/back/side)
2. Reset Wireless Settings on Poursteady
Disconnect the grey communication wire between the Poursteady and your boiler to prevent water flow
Hold the Station 1 button on the Poursteady for 90 seconds until all lights flash
Release the button. This resets network configuration
Re-attempt WiFi connection using the steps above
3. WiFi Dongle Placement
Ensure the dongle is not inside the machine or in a metal enclosure
Avoid hot, wet, or steamy areas — never place the dongle on top of the boiler
If using both Ethernet and WiFi, disconnect one to avoid interference
4. Connectivity Still Fails
Confirm the dongle lights are on and not flickering or dim
If the captive portal fails repeatedly, try another device or browser
Check with your IT provider to ensure your network firewall is not blocking the Poursteady
Final Test – Confirm Connection:
Check my.poursteady.com:
Online indicator turns green
Change a recipe in the web app:
Watch for button lights to flash on the Poursteady
This confirms successful sync
Reconnect the Marco boiler if it was unplugged for safety during reset
Success Confirmation:
Green online light appears in the my.poursteady.com dashboard
Poursteady button lights flash after changing a recipe
Dongle lights are visibly lit (green or blue depending on model)
Device no longer broadcasts its setup WiFi (PO-PS-[serial#])
