Prerequisites:

  • Machine is installed and placed in its operational location

  • Access to the smart side panel (requires No. 2 screwdriver)

  • The original Poursteady power supply is available

  • A safe electrical outlet is nearby

Main Process:

1. Open the Smart Side Panel

  • Use a No. 2 Phillips screwdriver to remove:

    • 8 side screws

    • 2 top cap screws

  • Carefully lift off the side panel and set it aside to avoid scratching or damage.

2. Confirm No Power Condition

  • With the panel off, observe the main PCB:

    • If no lights are visible, the machine is currently not receiving power.

3. Connect the Power Supply

  • Locate the power supply that came with your Poursteady.

  • Confirm that:

    • All wires are securely connected

    • The outlet is working properly

  • Insert the barrel plug firmly into the power port on the main PCB board.

4. Verify Power Indicator Lights

  • Once connected, observe the internal board:

    • Main PCB power light (solid)

    • Technosoft board lights (usually 1–2 LEDs)

    • BeagleBone Black blue LED (indicates system boot)

  • If these lights are on, the subassembly has power and is operational.

Troubleshooting:

5. If the Poursteady Does Not Boot or Home

  • Check the SD card slot located on the internal board.

    • If the SD card is visible or protruding, it may have been dislodged during shipping.

  • Unplug the machine first before touching internal components.

6. Reseat the SD Card

  • Use your finger or a flat object to gently press the SD card in.

    • A small click will confirm it is seated correctly.

    • The card should sit flush with the board (not protruding).

  • Reconnect the power and wait 2–3 minutes for the boot sequence to begin:

    • Button lights will flash

    • The nozzle will move back and forth, then side to side

Success Confirmation:

  • All internal lights on the PCB are active

  • The nozzle completes a homing sequence (back/forward and side-to-side motion)

  • Button lights flash, indicating the machine is online and ready

  • The machine accepts recipes from my.poursteady.com

Escalation:

  • If the machine still does not power on or boot:

    • Confirm:

      • Power outlet is functioning

      • Correct power supply is used

      • SD card is fully seated

    • Initiate a live Intercom support session

      • Include a photo of the internal board showing light status

      • Confirm whether the SD card was reseated

      • Mention any signs of power failure (e.g., no lights at all)
