Executive Summary
This SOP outlines the steps required to safely and effectively replace the SD card in a PS2 unit. It includes disassembly of the smart side panel, removal and installation of the SD card, and reassembly of the unit.
THIS SHOULD ONLY BE PERFORMED WHEN INSTRUCTED BY A POURSTEADY TECHNICIAN AND A NEW SD CARD IS PROVIDED BY STEADY EQUIPMENT CORP (DBA POURSTEADY).
A. Process Overview
Purpose: To guide users through replacing an SD card in a PS2 console.
Business Impact: Enables updates, data replacement, or repair of faulty SD cards.
When Used: When an SD card needs replacement due to upgrade, corruption, or failure.
Expected Outcomes: A fully functional PS2 unit with a newly installed SD card.
B. Prerequisites & Preparation
Permissions/Access: None required.
Tools/Materials:
Replacement SD card
Screwdriver (compatible with PS2 case screws)
Knowledge/Training: Familiarity with basic hardware handling and safety procedures.
Environment: Powered-down PS2 unit on a clean, static-free work surface.
C. Step-by-Step Procedures
Copy Recipes
All recipes are saved on your SD card, so a new SD card will not carry over your recipes
Write down your recipes that you wish to recreate
Power Down the PS2
Turn off the PS2 completely using the power switch.
Access the Smart Side Panel
Locate the side of the PS2 opposite the power switch (referred to as the "smart side").
Remove the top cap by lifting it off carefully.
Remove Smart Side Sheet
Place your hands on the smart side panel.
Squeeze inward and push upward to detach the panel.
Set aside the panel to expose internal components.
Remove the Existing SD Card
Locate the SD card within the circuitry.
Gently push the SD card until it clicks and pops out.
Carefully remove the card and set it aside.
Install the New SD Card
Align the new SD card with the slot, gold pins should be facing outward.
Insert it firmly until a click is heard, indicating it is secured.
Reattach Smart Side Sheet and Cap
Reposition the smart side panel and press it into place, ensuring all four corners are secured.
Place the top cap back on the unit.
Use the screws to secure the top cap in place.
Power on the Poursteady
Turn off the PS2 using the power switch.
Recalibrate Flowmeter
The new SD Card will reset your flowmeter calibration

Recreate Recipes
Recipes are saved on your previous SD Card

D. Quality Control & Verification
Checkpoints:
Verify the SD card is properly seated and clicked into place.
Ensure side panel and cap are securely attached with no gaps.
Indicators of Error:
Improperly/unseated SD card.
Validation:
Power on the PS2 to confirm successful boot and SD card recognition.
