To make sure ethernet connection is set up properly please perform the following steps.
1) While the Poursteady is plugged in, remove the ethernet and USB Wifi dongle (if it is also attached)
2) Disconnect the grey communication wire from the boiler that is connected to the Poursteady
(this step is important to prevent water from flowing)
3) Hold down the station 1 button for 90 seconds - you should see all the lights flash on the buttons
(This signifies that the network has been restarted)
4) Unplug the Poursteady and wait 5 minutes
5) Reconnect the Ethernet cable
(Do NOT connect Wi-Fi cable / Dongle)
6) Plug back in the Poursteady and wait 2-3 minutes for it to boot and home (when the nozzle moves back and forth then side to side)
7) Wait another 5 minutes for the lights to blink.
(This signifies that it connected to the My.Poursteady network)
8) Check on My.Poursteady for the green light to appear.
(You may need to refresh your page a few times)
9) Reconnect the grey communication wire
Troubleshooting Steps:
Make sure you do NOT have the Wi-Fi dongle also connected
If your Poursteady does not boot / home, then you may be experiencing power or SD card issues.
If you are not connected, check on your beaglebone black to see if the ethernet lights are on.
Check your ethernet cable on a laptop or other device to confirm the ethernet cable is working
Your router may have an internal firewall preventing your Poursteady from accessing your network. In this case you will need to contact your IT provider to assist you in allowing
