Working Offline or During Connectivity Issues

PractaLuma is cloud-based, but it can handle brief interruptions without losing your work.

1. What happens if the internet drops mid-session?

  • Recording continues locally in your browser

  • You may see a “Connectivity Lost” banner, but your session is still active

  • Once the connection resumes, audio uploads automatically

2. Can't access PractaLuma at all?

  • Offline mode is limited — you’ll need an internet connection to start a new session

  • For critical sessions, we recommend using a secondary audio recorder (e.g. phone Voice Memos) as a backup

  • You can then upload the audio later and transcribe it manually

3. Transcription requires a stable connection

  • AI features like transcription and note generation need internet

  • If recording was completed offline, upload it when back online via the client’s profile

4. Best practices

  • Use a stable Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection for long sessions

  • Avoid browser tab switching during live dictation

  • Save frequently if typing rough notes during poor connectivity
