If you create a video appointment you can choose to generate a video link, create a video room, or use an existing video room you have already created. See the images below to differentiate between each option.
This red arrow directs you to the generated/general video link, this will take you directly into the playroom with your client and can be useful if the client does not want to use their email or share personal information to log in. Using the general link, you can still choose any playroom, including a personalized playroom for your client if you've made one.
This red arrow directs you to the Video Tab where you can click 'add' and create a personalized video link for each client. You can create a personalized title for each room you make, allowing you to easily locate a session link for a specific client. Creating a personalized video link for each client means that you don't have to send a link to them every time, they would have this link once you initially send it to them, which takes them straight into their session. You can still choose from the playrooms, including a personalized playroom for your client if you've made one.
Whatever you choose, if your client has a client-portal account (you would have invited them already,) then the client will see the correct link associated with that appointment in their system.
If a client books an appointment via your public calendar, a new link is automatically created. You’ll see this link as a part of the appointment record in your calendar. They’ll see this link too.
If you want to have a video session without a appointment, you can go to the Video section of PracticeSpace, create a new video room (or use an existing one) — then share that link with a client (emailing it to them manually or using PracticeSpace Messaging to send it to them.)
To start a session from the video session you will need to send the client the link of the video session you are in. From within the session, you can invite people and they’ll get an email notification.
Participants do NOT need an account to join a video session. They only need the correct link. Click-and-join. No sign in required.
