Birthdays and Anniversaries are special days and they reflect milestones that your Users go through, both personally and with the company. Celebration Bots help recognise and celebrate these with your Users to allow an additional avenue for you to show the company cares.

Who can use this feature

πŸ‘‘ Available to Workspaces on the Team Plan and above.

βš™οΈ Global Admin Permissions are required

Celebration Bots can be found under the Admin Settings menu.

There are currently 2 types of Bots: Birthdays and Anniversaries. Here's how you can configure them:

Birthday Bot

Birthday Bots consist of:

  • A points budget

  • A birthday message

On the User's birthday, a Recognition will be created with the Giver as the company, appearing in the Celebrations Feed. The User will receive an email containing the message, and the points will be added to their Earnings.

If your Workspace has configured the integration with Slack, the birthday message will also be posted to your selected Broadcast Channel.

Anniversary Bot

Anniversary Bots consist of:

  • Base Anniversary Points

  • Annual Increment Points

  • Anniversary Message

Almost similar to Birthday Bots, they consist of additional Annual Increment Points. These points are applied when a User has been with the company for at least 2 years.

Consider the following company as an example:

Base Anniversary Points: 10,000

Anniversary Annual Increment Points: 5,000

Number of years User has been with the company: 3 years

The amount of points allocated to the User on the date of their Anniversary will be calculated as such:

10,000 Base Anniversary Points + (5,000 Annual Increment Points * 2 years) = 20,000 points

In all other aspects, Anniversary Bots behave in the same way as Birthday Bots, with a new Celebration created and posted on the Users respective Anniversaries.

Important:

Celebrations created as a result of Celebration Bots cannot be marked as Private. However, they function in the same way as Recognitions in every other way.

Hire and birthday dates can only be filled and modified by the Workspace admin via the Admin Settings interface. Since work anniversary and birthday rewards are linked to these dates, allowing only the admin to modify them ensures the integrity of the reward system and prevents any potential misuse by users.
